After Finding Seemorgh
A Jar of Jam - After Finding Seemorgh
I’m not sure you remember the story of Seemorgh in Mantegh-o-Teir of Attar Neyshabouri where the hoopoe asks other birds to join them in its pursuit of Seemorgh. After lots of adventures and separation of most of the birds, they find a mirror in which they see themselves in it. So, they see that Seemorgh is the incarnation of themselves, the thirty .remaining birds Now, bear that story in mind which you must have heard before and read this .memoir We were dispatched to Haj Omran area in Iraq via Neyshabour road and through brigade 21 in order to search for the martyrs. While we were waiting for others to join us in the vast desert, a bird which looked like a hoopoe got near us. After catching our attention, it flew and sat on a pile of soil. It waited. It did the same again. We all felt like it is guiding us towards something. We picked up cranes and shovels and dug the pile. We found the body of two IRGC members who were tied by telephone wires and buried alive. They had guided us via that bird. We took them out with respect and delivered .them to the Headquarters Surely, the story of Seemorgh is f ictional and figurative to have a better understanding of the Godhood entity of human being. But this story is real. The hoopoe, by leading us to the martyrs, showed us that when man draws near God all the components of the universe gather to aid him in his purpose. This is .the next level of finding Seemorgh
